Luinspear

Because Ruka from Nightmare was in this band, I've uploaded Luinspear's songs. It's really a shame though, if they didn't disband, they could have been really great. Though I suppose we wouldn't have Nightmare then, would we? About Luinspear's music, it is very melodious. The vocalist, Jui (who is now in Vidoll) has amazing vocals that mix well with Luinspear's haunting and mysterious melodies. Though they never released an album while they were active, their singles are worth checking out.

Alright, that took me long enough. There's two albums for you, one each of their current and former vocalists. I only have 1-2 others, but if you like those, I can upload the rest.

I tend to go in phases of listening to the same artists for several weeks, and I'm on a Nightmare kick right now, so I think I'll hold off on moving on to one X Japan or one of your other suggestions. They're quite the bunch of Facebook whores though... it's kind of adorable, aside from the 15 notifications per day.

That would be awesome. I've only looked at X Japan so far, but was amazed to find albums by them on Amazon and iTunes along with Luna Sea. I'll probably take you up on that, though I wish I had some I could give you in return. I'm kinda busy today and tomorrow so I probably won't figure out which albums I want for a few days. If you want to look into Nightwish (particularly their Once album, or Dark Passion Play) and I can upload some of those if you like.

Sweet! Symphonic metal's a rarity, but soooo amazing. That's a great selection to start with--maybe I'll get lucky again and find someone else who's uploaded entire folders of those bands. Otherwise I'll be stuck trying to rip them from youtube vids or online playlists.

Ah, alright. Mostly rock and its subgenres, some dance/electronic, bit of classical/folk/Celtic, some easy listening, some old school pop, some ska/punk-ish, some show tunes... Metal and classical I typically prefer together in the form of symphonic metal. In general, I prefer darker sounds/aesthetics.

Artists like Nightwish, AFI, HIM, Dark Tranquility, Cascada, Five Iron Frenzy, The Faint, Dido, Rise Against, Robert Miles, Thrice, the Offspring... sometimes Korn, Slipknot, David Garrett, Blaqk Audio, Cradle of Filth, the Cure, Dimmu Borgir, Dragonforce, Himsa, Linkin Park, Muse...
