THE OLD HISTORY.....
The Official Concept came around 1998 in Washington DC collecting music
Kevlartone Studio the sound was built somewhere around 2002 in a community name 90's East Flatbush/Brownsville where head quarters was located on E.94th between Clarkson and King's Highway. After a year of playing with an earlier sound named "Vibes Galore" fr. Crown Heights with now new member Teflon, Guvenah was forced to rebuild his sound when Teflon joined with Deadly Dragon in 2003. Guvenah called this sound Kevlar and joined forces with long time friend Twice to create "Kevlartone" later the rest of the moniker was added with the sound being named "Kevlartone Studio" for its uniques dubplate specials and superior quality with voicing artist in studio around the world. Mid 2004 Kevlar also spreaded the sound to San Diego with Guvenah's long time friend Natti who controls the West Side of Kevlar. West coast no worries, in due time Kevlar will conquer San Diego this I promise!!! Now newly dedicated soldja D aka Element born in St. Andrew, Grenada has joined Kevlar squad as Eng/selecta to further push Kevlar to its ranks. New permanant MC for Kevlar Squiddly ranks who hail from Portmore Jamaica has also entered the Kevlar roster although he has been a dedicated member in spirit for years. Guvenah, Teflon, and the genious named Twice has played in nearly ever club or bar in NYC and Brooklyn for years on other sound systems and now the 3 has combined as the number one war headz of Manhattan and Crown Heights. In the summer of 2002 Guvenah got really serious while spending time in Washington DC and started to build his sound piece by piece which Kevlar's set is still building till this current day. When he returned to 90's in 2003 his collection of big 45's has reached maximum. Today The combination of teflon and Guvenah 45" collection has reached storage capacity and now Guvenah is recorded his whole collection of 45's on cd, (As most sounds know this move is extremley tiresome but due to the rise of cost for flight -baggage this action is necessary). Kevlar has played in other domestic areas such as Washington DC as "Vibes Galore" and San Diego 3 years in a row @ Martini Ranch and other venues with the most popular sound in the bay area Tribe of Kings. Guvenah who is of Portmore JA et US nationality started to stretch Kevlar name further by being invited by "Small Axe Sound" from Aachen , Germany to play alongside them King Tubbies/UK, and Stuttgart's own Skillsbattery, and Frankfurt's Bunafire Sound. Earlier that year Guvenah played with Small Axe @ David Rodigan's 25th Anniversary held @ Hahn Airport with Stone Love, Sentinel, Ward 21, Massive B, and many others in 2003. That is where Guvenah gained love for big crowds and now Kevlar has played in front of crowds in NY and Europe reaching over 4,000. Kevlar has tour the following countries and cites within, Germany- Stuttgart, Dresden, Frankfurt -Achafenberg, Wiesbaden 45 Clash with Berlin's Barney Millah(3), Koln, Efurt, Aachen. Switzerland- St.Gallen, Zurich, Basel, Biel-@Coupole w/ Ruff Pack/ Supersonic/ Black Spider (2), An special guest apperance in Winterthaur with Ruff Pack. Austria- Vienna w/ Rebel Radio Italy-Viereggio w/ Soul Roots fr. Roma, and Sensi sound fr. Bologna, Bologna, and Venice. Note: in my heart.In 2006/2007 Kevlar then further spread its wings to Grenada by joining forces with Geezy; A big Selector/Producer/Promotor and renamed the sound "KEVLARTONE INTERNATIONAL" who had been playing on major radio stations there and various clubs/pubs along side selector Bokie. Geezy co-owner of the sound was a manager of a club, and use to be hosting major clashes and parties. In 2008 Geezy then moved to Toronto leaving Bokie to handle the sound there. While there in Toronto in 2009, Geezy join forces with Skill Bill of killah tone, with two MCs RUDE BWOY & SMOKET DON making "KEVLARTONE" the ultimate sound to recond with with the new Toronto establishment we're gonna take it to the world. " This year is new expasion and new improvements for Kevlartone Studio/Kevlartone International. Back in New york, Kevlar has a new yute who soon buss pon Kevlar named Antraxx born in Portmore/ Phase 2, JA who will also MC for the big sound. Twice is the musical genius, with Dominican Nationality he is totally a reggae dancehall guide and now he is using his talent on the magazine Jam Rock for Link Up Media. We wish him all the luck in the world on his future endeavors and know that one day he will start production work for Kevlar.
